As part of Project NEURON, we have developed a number of interactive web activities that link to ideas addressed in our curriculum materials. These activities are fun to explore in informal settings or as activities within our lesson plans.
We have several simulations that link to a number of activities in our curriculum materials. One is a dataset graphing tool that allows students to explore and analyze data to answer questions and test claims. The Fruit Fly and Planarian RNAi simulations give students an opportunity to carry out simulated experiments to test the effects of a variety of variables on the behavior of fruit flies and planarians.
We have made several videos that are incorporated into different lessons in the curriculum materials. Some of these videos work to spark discussion about scientific phenomena and practice and others provide ways to further support student understanding of various concepts.
