Teachers' workshop on evolution next week!

July 8, 2013 - 3:32am -- Logan H. Lauren

Are you a teacher who would like to learn how to address students' misconceptions about science and evolution? Are you interested in the research that scientists are doing today to study evolution? Would you like to learn more about the various types and sources of evidence for evolution to guide questions your students ask in class?

Secondary science teachers and informal science educators like you are are attending a workshop this month at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, beginning on Wednesday, July 17th. Participants will receive a $250 stipend, breakfast and lunch, continuing professional development credits, and a copy of the book "Why Evolution is True." Email Becky Fuller, a University of Illinois scientist whose research is featured in our unit Do you see what I see?, at fuller@life.uiuc.edu for more information or registration.
